One Time Event Happening on September 5th:

Empowerment through Creativity: For Women Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse

Learning to express the feelings and experience of sexual abuse is a powerful component in allowing survivors to heal and to embrace their personal power.  in approaching healing from sexual abuse as a transformative journey, this workshop combines useful information about the  healing from childhood abuse with writing, visualization, singing, body awareness, inner child work and drawing.  

Join us for an empowering day of creativity, healing, self-honoring and sharing in a safe and validating environment.*

*This workshop may elicit some powerful memories and feelings.  It is therefore recommended that women enrolling in this workshop be either 1) in therapy, 2) participating in an on-going support group or 3) have done foundational work on sexual abuse in the past and/or  have a strong personal support network.

Louise Wisechild, PhD is the author of The Obsidian Mirror: An Adult Healing from Sexual Abuse and The Mother I Carry: Healing from Emotional Abuse as well as the editor of  She Who Was Lost Is Remembered: Healing from Incest through Art.   A writer, musician and creative artist as well as a professional trainer, life coach and educator, Louise  has worked with abuse survivors and professionals for over twenty-five years.  She possesses a unique ability to facilitate meaningful and empowering group experiences.  Her work is characterized by insight, warmth, respect, skill, humor and compassion. 

Yoganics Hawaii Fall Semester

Mondays:
5:30pm-6:30pm    Hatha Yoga with Celeste
Class is open to all experience levels and beginners are always welcome. This practice brings unique suppleness, strength, balance and flexibility to the body and refines the nervous system, using the body as a tool for inner exploration through asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath control) and simple meditation techniques. Drop-in students welcome to join through out Semester.

Fridays:
6:00pm-7:00pm    Belly Dance with Stephanie
Mixed level class. Beginners and all levels welcomed. Learn the different kinds of movements that are used in this art form and how to use them in several different ways (traveling, on the spot, & muscular isolations). Every class begins with a warm up and ends with a cool down, we work on technique followed by games & exercises to help you master the movements and build confindence for improvising with them. Stephanie will be following a three month semester schedule, but Drop-in students are welcome to join through the out Semester.

Are you interested in renting our Healing Arts Studio for a class, workshop, or event?

Yoganics Hawaii’s Healing Arts Studio’s goal is to provide a space for a variety of classes and activities that will contribute and build community while following our mission statement, “To inspire awareness, evolve consciousness, and renew our Earth’s resources through sustainable and active lifestyle.”

Our 600 square foot studio space is equipped with full-length mirrors on one wall that can be covered if they do not suit your needs, and a sound system for Ipods. The space can comfortably be used for classes, events, and workshops. There is a seating area, restroom, and changing areas available, as well as, yoga equipment, such as, mats, blocks, and straps.

We are always interested in sharing our space with more people in our community. Consider us the next time you are looking for a location to host your next workshop or event.

There are also several times available for ongoing classes. Dance, music, martial arts, and arts & crafts are just a few of the things that have, and will, work great in our space.
